In their report on Investigation of Nano Crystalline Ceramic Superconductor GdBaCaCuO: Structural and Morphological Aspects they mention that The author describes some properties of a new nano crystalline ceramic type II superconductor, Gadolinium Barium Calcium Copper Oxide: GdBaCaCuO (GBCCO). Type II superconductors are usually made of metal alloys or complex oxide ceramics. The GBCCO perovskite phase structure was prepared by the solid state reaction technique route. High-temperature superconductivity in ceramic oxides is a new technology in which advances are occurring at a rapid pace. The prepared sample was analyzed by X-ray Diffraction (XRD), Particle size determination, SEM and EDX. The comparison of XRD results with JCPDS files confirmed the orthorhombic structure of the sample with a≠b≠c and α=β=γ=900. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) studies revealed that its particle size is in the nanometer range. Particle size calculated from Debye Scherrer’s formula confirmed the value. EDX spectrum shows the elements of the sample. X-ray instrumental peak broadening analysis was used to evaluate the size and lattice strain by the Williamson-Hall Plot method. One Sentence Summary: XRD of GBCCO at different temperatures, structure, particle size analyzed. Confirmed with SEM and EDS. GBCCO nano crystalline ceramics were prepared successfully by the conventional solid state reaction technique and analyzed XRD, SEM, EDX, and particle size measured. XRD data confirmed the formation of the perovskite phase structure and the average particle size. The XRD spectrums of the GBCCO at different temperatures indicate that, according to increasing treating temperature, the θ value and particle size also increases. From SEM analysis, the morphology images show the approximate size of the nano particles. The particle size calculated from the Williamson-Hall plot method is in agreement with that of the particle size measured from Debye Scherrer formula. The EDX analysis confirmed the elements existing in the sample and it agree with the stoichiometric relations of the prepared compound.

ABC News Reports Crossbench still against higher education bills despite backdown
A Federal Government move to sideline a $1.9 billion budget cut to higher education courses and push ahead with fee deregulation has failed to sway the Senate crossbench. The measures — fee deregulation and the funding cut — were at the heart of the Coalition's university overhaul, which seemed doomed to fail for a second time in the Senate and have now been split into two separate pieces of legislation. The original bill faced heavy opposition, with only one crossbench senator out of eight publicly prepared to back it — far short of the six votes required. 'Greedy' pair Lukas Kamay, Christopher Hill jailed over $7 million ABS insider trading scam
Former NAB banker Lukas Kamay and former Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) analyst Christopher Hill have been sentenced to jail over a $7 million insider trading scheme. Kamay was sentenced to seven years and three months in prison with a minimum term of four and a half years. Hill was jailed for three years and three months with a minimum term of two years. Supreme Court Justice Elizabeth Hollingworth described the case as "the worst instance of insider trading to come before the courts in this country. She said Kamay and Hill "were motivated by personal greed, pure and simple" and said Kamay displayed some symptoms of "inflated self-esteem or narcissistic personality traits." Kamay pleaded guilty to money laundering, identity theft and insider trading. Co-offender Hill also pleaded guilty to insider trading and misuse of public office.

Facebook has categorized "fully exposed buttocks" and "images of female breasts if they include the nipple" under a list of banned posts in their revamped community standards section. Facebook said that the new guidelines were aimed at bringing "clarity" over what can and cannot be posted on the website, reported The Verge. The social media platform, added that some nudity was permissible "for artistic purposes."
