05 September, 2015, Turkey, USA NEWS CORP
Surviving family members of Aylan Kurdi have revealed how the Syrian three-year-old came to be washed up dead on a beach in Turkey. I want to bury my children and sit beside them until I die," Aylan Kurdi's father tells CNN. Three-year-old Aylan Kurdi, his five-year-old brother. Galip. and their mother, Rehan, died in desperate attempt to flee to relatives. They risked, and lost, everything trying to reach Europe for the hope of a better life. The entire world wept over the haunting photograph of three-year-old Aylan Kurdi, the Syrian kid. The toddler whose drowning made headlines around the world, was laid to rest alongside his brother and mother. Sleeping soundly on a beach – perhaps even dreaming of a new life in Europe. The picture that moved a world to thrill. He said he was forced to take control of the boat after the captain panicked and jumped into the sea in high waves. "We went into the sea for four minutes and the captain saw that the waves were so high and as he tried to steer the boat we were hit immediately," he said. "He panicked and dived into the sea and fled. "I took over and started steering, but the waves were so high that the boat flipped immediately. "I took my wife and my kids in my arms and I realised they were all dead." He added: "My kids were the most beautiful children in the world. Wonderful. They woke me up every morning to play with them and now, they are all gone. "Now all I want is to lie in a grave next to my wife and children."
After he spoke through a translator to reporters, TV footage showed him wailing in despair. The photograph of three-year-old Aylan Kurdi has highlighted the issue of desperate migrants risking their lives to try to reach Europe. The bodies of Aylan and Galip, five, were washed up on a beach near the seaside resort town of Bodrum on Wednesday. he explained his family were among 12 people on the crowded vessel. He said: "There were 12 of us and it was overloaded. With the man who operated the boat, there were 13 of us." It has been reported that the family had attempted to get a sponsor to allow them to get to Canada where they could apply for refugee status. They are understood to have been originally from Damascus but ended up moving to Kobani from which they were forced to flee to Turkey because of severe fighting. Mr Kurdi's sister Tima, who emigrated to Canada 20 years ago, said she had tried to get permission for them to travel across the Atlantic to be with her but it had been rejected because of the complexities involved in refugee applications from Turkey. She wrote on Facebook: "My deepest condolences to my brother's family who suffered a tragic death in search of a better life. "Where is the humanity in the world. They did not deserve this. My heart is broken. Rest in peace Angels. My family died in my arms, one by one: Aylan Kurdi's father
If your neighbour was in trouble, you would open your door and give them a place to stay, but you would also expect them to leave when the danger was over. The issue we have in the UK we would have no method of repatriating people seeking asylum. We don't know who is here, where people live, or how many, other European country, such as France, Holland, Germany have identity cards and if you move from one county to another you must de-register and re-register in your new county, this allows councils and government to have a better idea of who is where. We can't blame the government, because it was the public who rejected identity cards, maybe through fear, ignorance or stupidity, but this is one reason why we struggle to deal with immigration, while other EU countries don't.
Civilians says....Why are they putting this one all over the news when there have been lots of other children and there family's drowned trying to get to Europe they haven't made a big thing them, l feel sorry for the children but are they trying to pull at heart strings, the father put his family at risk. But Britain has its fair shear of migrants and its own problems, we have people living on the streets homeless children unemployment and the list goes on. Mr. Kurdi described how he had flailed about while trying to find his children as his wife held on to the capsized boat. “I started pushing them up to the surface so they could breathe,” he said. “I had to shift from one to another. I think we were in the water for three hours trying to survive.” He watched helplessly as one exhausted child drowned, spitting up a white liquid, he said, then pushed the other toward the mother, “so he could at least keep his head up.” Mr. Kurdi then apologized, saying he could no longer speak, and ended the conversation with one parting message. “What I really want now is for the smuggling to stop, and to find a solution for those people who are paying the blood of their hearts just to leave,” he said. “Yesterday I went to one of the smuggling points and told people trying to get smuggled at least not to take their kids on these boats. I told them my story, and some of them changed their minds.” Aylan Kurdi emerged as World's Top Most searched personality this year: 2015. Even far ahead than Kim Kardashian. The cute child forced the Europian countries to look the refugee crisis more seriously. Emotionally the wave hit till Canada.
