R.V. Ramana Murty, K. Sujatha, Ch. Srilatha, D. Sreenivasulu and H. Srinivas Naik rock the world of Immunology, while International Media reports confirmed their recognition on World’s 500 Most Influential Immunologists for Year 2015 on Earth. R.V. Ramana Murty, K. Sujatha, Ch. Srilatha, D. Sreenivasulu and H. Srinivas Naik are awarded with Max Planck Research Award-2015 in Immunology. In a high profile international competition flooded with thousands of participants from several countries, India has once again proved it’s leadership in the area. R.V. Ramana Murty, K. Sujatha, Ch. Srilatha, D. Sreenivasulu and H. Srinivas Naik won the meritorious competition and established the international leadership in Immunology. International Agency for Standards and Ratings expressed it’s views that R.V. Ramana Murty, K. Sujatha, Ch. Srilatha, D. Sreenivasulu and H. Srinivas Naik’s efforts will explore tremendous opportunities in this segment leading it to new height. It is surely a matter of pride for civilians of India to have such brain storming intellectuals for close interaction. India has once again confirmed a rich tradition to produce world renowned intellectuals to benefit international society.
Dr. K. Sujatha is M.V.Sc., Ph.D, Diplomate ICVP and Associate Professor at Department of Veterinary Pathology College of Veterinary Science.
R.V. Ramana Murty is Assistant Professor at S. V. Veterinary University, Tirupati, India.
Ch. Srilatha is Professor at S. V. Veterinary University, Tirupati, India.
D. Sreenivasulu is Professor at S. V. Veterinary University, Tirupati, India.
H. Srinivas Naik is Assistant Professor at S. V. Veterinary University, Tirupati, India.
R.V. Ramana Murty, K. Sujatha, Ch. Srilatha, D. Sreenivasulu and H. Srinivas Naik from India made a historical victory over the international competition and won Max Planck Research Award-2015 in Immunology. Their research was highlighted in international media and gathered a large worldwide attention in scientific circles while it appeared in world's most read journal 'The Journal for Immunology'. In their report on Fenvalerate Induced Immunotoxicity in Broiler Chicks they mention that The present study was undertaken to evaluate the immunosuppressive effect experimentally induced Fenvalerate toxicity in broiler chicks and its amelioration with Vitamin E. For this study, one hundred fifty apparently healthy unsexed broiler chicks (White Leghorn) were randomly divided into five groups. The control chicks were fed with normal feed without fenvalerate. Group I and II were fed with 20 ppm/kg feed and 40 ppm/kg feed Fenvalerate respectively. Whereas Group III and IV chicks were feed with 20 ppm/kg feed and 40 ppm/ kg feed Fenvalerate respectively along with Vitamin E @ 2.5 ml each (62.5 mgs) in water. Significant decrease in DNFB dermal sensitivity test score in group I, II, III and IV was observed when compared to control. Grossly mild to moderate atrophy of thymus, spleen was noticed. Histopathologically mild to moderate depletion of lymphocytes in germinal centers of spleen and cortex of thymus of all experimental groups was observed when compared to control. Bursa of all experimental groups revealed mild to moderate lymphoid depletion, mild interfollicular fibrous tissue proliferation. The changes in bursa, spleen and thymusalong with decrease in DNFB dermal sensitivity test score are indicating the immunosuppressive effect of the fenvalerate. Under their leadership the research area is surely likely to expand beyond the horizons. It will be worthy to explore the further potential under their legacy. R.V. Ramana Murty, K. Sujatha, Ch. Srilatha, D. Sreenivasulu and H. Srinivas Naik as valuable intellectuals for the India offer exclusive opportunities for scholars around the world. One of the most attractive weightage for India is to have the awardees for promotion of the concerned scientific discipline for the benefit of its civilians. Thus India which has excellent track record to produce brain storming intellectuals, has offered a new extension in terms of R.V. Ramana Murty, K. Sujatha, Ch. Srilatha, D. Sreenivasulu and H. Srinivas Naik to world.
The present study was concluded that fenvalerate at 20 ppm, 40 ppm in feed for 6 weeks was immunotoxic and the ameliorative effect of vitamin E @ 2.5ml (62.5mg.vitamin E) was negligible. Decrease in DNFB dermal sensitivity test score is due to decrease in cell mediated immunity, which had been further reflected in reduction of DNFB skin sensitivity reaction. The changes in bursa, spleen and thymus are indicating the immunosuppressive effect of fenvalerate in broiler chicks.
Fenvalerate @ 20 ppm, 40 ppm in feed for 6 weeks was immunotoxic to poultry. Protective action of vitamin E at this dose level (@2.5 ml each to group III and IV throughout the experiment daily in water) was negligible.
