She has done Doctorate in Life Sciences (Botany) from Nagpur University, Nagpur having fifteen years of experience of which around four years of industrial experience in Q.A/Q.C of Pharmaceutical dosage forms, bulk pharmaceuticals and mushroom industry & eleven years of teaching experience at UG & PG level. She has done B. Sc in Microbiology from L. A. D. College, Nagpur University, Nagpur. She has done M.Sc and Ph.D in Botany from Institute of Science, Nagpur University, Nagpur. She is working as a Lecturer at G. E. Society’s HPT Arts & RYK Science College, Department of Botany, Nashik – 5 from 2003. She worked as “Deputy Manager “at M/s. Premier Mushroom Farms (A US FDA, approved plant) at Hyderabad as a Deputy Manager in Q.A/Q.C, 2001–03, worked as a Senior Microbiologist and Quality Control In charge at M/s. N.B Entrepreneurs Ltd., (A bulk Mfg. of Microcrystalline cellulose) Nagpur, from Feb. 1998 to March, 2000, worked as a Lecturer at ‘’ Vainganga Bahuddeshiya Shikshan Sanstha, Nagpur from May, 1995 – June 1996 and worked as a Lecturer for PG level in “Institute of Science” Mumbai from Aug, 1994 – April 1995.

She has completed her Graduation and Master in Botany from University of Pune. Her Interest area are Science – Biotechnology, Cell and Molecular Biology, Plant Physiology, Genetics and plant Breeding, plant Systematics, Tissue Culture, Environmental Science & Plant Ecology and Developmental Biology. She worked as Lecturer in H.P.T Arts & R.Y.K. Science College Nashik from 1st Oct to 2010 to till date and taught the Systematics of Vascular & Non-Vascular Plants, Environmental Botany & plant Ecology, Applied Botany & Bioinformatics, Evolutionary Biology & Plant Resources subjects and worked as Lecturer in H.P.T Arts & R.Y.K. In their report on Phytochemical and Antimicrobial activity of Sphaeranthus indicus Linn. they mention that Sphaeranthus indicus Linn. (Asteraceae) is a common annual spreading herb found in a rice field throughout in India; five crude extracts were prepared from the whole plant Sphaeranthus indicus using different solvents by Soxhlet method. The extracts were subjected to screening to detect Preliminary phytochemical analysis and potential antimicrobial activity against E. Coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella pneumonia, Salmonella typhi and fungal strain Candida albicans as standard by agar well diffusion method. The aim of our present study was to find out the Preliminary photochemical analysis and antimicrobial activity of the different extracts of entire plant including flower heads of Sphaeranthus indicus. The different extracts such as Hexane, Methanol, Ethanol, petroleum ether and aqueous extracts exhibits comparable antimicrobial activity with the control. Presence of alkaloids and carbohydrate present in methanol extract, saponins are only present in distilled water and ethanol extract, phenolic compounds are only present in ethanolic extract while fixed oil and volatile oils are strongly present in all extract except in distilled water extract. Under their leadership the research area is surely likely to expand beyond the horizons. It will be worthy to explore the further potential under their legacy. Hemantkumar A. Thakur, Mukta R. A Federal Government move to sideline a $1.9 billion budget cut to higher education courses and push ahead with fee deregulation has failed to sway the Senate crossbench. The measures — fee deregulation and the funding cut — were at the heart of the Coalition's university overhaul, which seemed doomed to fail for a second time in the Senate and have now been split into two separate pieces of legislation. The original bill faced heavy opposition, with only one crossbench senator out of eight publicly prepared to back it — far short of the six votes required. 'Greedy' pair Lukas Kamay, Christopher Hill jailed over $7 million ABS insider trading scam
Former NAB banker Lukas Kamay and former Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) analyst Christopher Hill have been sentenced to jail over a $7 million insider trading scheme. Kamay was sentenced to seven years and three months in prison with a minimum term of four and a half years. Hill was jailed for three years and three months with a minimum term of two years. Supreme Court Justice Elizabeth Hollingworth described the case as "the worst instance of insider trading to come before the courts in this country. She said Kamay and Hill "were motivated by personal greed, pure and simple" and said Kamay displayed some symptoms of "inflated self-esteem or narcissistic personality traits." Kamay pleaded guilty to money laundering, identity theft and insider trading. Co-offender Hill also pleaded guilty to insider trading and misuse of public office.

Facebook has categorized "fully exposed buttocks" and "images of female breasts if they include the nipple" under a list of banned posts in their revamped community standards section. Facebook said that the new guidelines were aimed at bringing "clarity" over what can and cannot be posted on the website, reported The Verge. The social media platform, added that some nudity was permissible "for artistic purposes." Facebook said that although some nudity may be there for a campaign or artistic purpose, some users in different parts of the world may be sensitive to this type of content. The social media giant added that the restrictions on the display of both nudity and sexual activity also applied to digitally created content unless the content is posted for educational, humorous or satirical purposes.
