Two new species of the genus Tetracotyle Reported from North India

Helminths are a serious threat to their hosts causing loss to the fish-based economy. A large number of fishborne infections, caused by fishborne zoonotic trematodes because freshwater fishes serve as the second intermediate host in the life cycle of many helminths. There is limited information available on this aspect in Indian perspective. The present communication attempts to provide a detail description about two strigeids species viz. Tetracotyle multilobulata n. sp. and Tetracotyle madhubanensis n. sp. parasitizing freshwater fishes, collected from Eastern U.P., India. The species are characterized on the basis of shape, structure, place and position of oesophagus, intestinal caeca, holdfast organ, hold fast gland and number of genital rudiments. Tetracotyle multilobulata n. sp. and Tetracotyle madubanensis n. sp. are new species of the Tetracotyle group. Identification of the parasite has been done using morphological characters from live specimens as well as mounted specimen. As Earlier described trematodes species Mastacembelus armatus (Lacep.) was parasitized by T. fausti (Rai and Pande, 1969) nom. nov., Syn. Diplostomulum type Rai and Pande, 1969 only. Hense it’s a new host record for Tetracotyle group. The major drawback lies in the knowledge and uniformity of taxonomic characters resulting in multiplication of species due to unavailability of good equipment in last decades. It will reform them by using advance tools and techniques. There is still a lot of scope in the areas where hosts have not been surveyed for infection, especially eastern Uttar Pradesh in India. Thus, there is a chance of getting new species of such Strigeids group. Worms were studied alive to saw the pattern of reserve excretory system while detailed internal structures of specimens from mounted slides in Canada Balsam to short out this issue. During course of study from 2007-2010 fishes were therefore, examined and author has succeeded in making a collection of some metacercariae of Tetracotyle sp. from different host and locality. This appear new to science which form the basis of the present work. Author is \thankful to Prof. Nirupama Agrawal and Prof. K.C. Z.T. Al Ahmar receives World Dentistry Research Award- 2015. The research findings were published on world's prestigious most read journal: The Journal for Dentistry. Aim: This study was to designed to compare differences in transverse dimensions of dental arches, alveolar widths and skeletal factors of Class II division 1, Class II division 2 malocclusion. Methods: Dentoskeletal characteristics of class II malocclusion subjects were evaluated using cephalometric radiograph and dental cast of 70 untreated patients. Sample included 37 class II Division 1 and 33 class II Division 2 malocclusion patients. Inter canine, inter premolar, inter molar, inter canine alveolar, inter premolar alveolar ,inter molar alveolar widths are measured on study models. Radiographs digitized using Auto CAD program all the data compared by independent t- test. Results: Showed statistically significant difference between groups for maxillary inter premolar, inter molar, alveolar inter premolar, mandibular inter canine and inter canine alveolar. Results revealed SNB angle was responsible for skeletal sagittal difference between groups. Class II division 1 showed a retrognathic mandible. Conclusion: maxillary inter premolar, inter molar and alveolar interpremolar widths were significantly narrower in the Class II division 1. Rapid maxillary expansion rather than slow expansion may be considered. There was a significant reduction of mandibular intercanine width in division 2 subjects. Cass II division 1 subject show more retrognathic mandible than class II division 2 subjects. The data suggest that knowledge of the craniofacial growth process particularly skeletal and dentoalveolar growth pattern in Class II malocclusion patients orthodontic and orthopedic therapies may be a clinical usefulness procedure leading to proper choice of treatment time, modality to improve and to shorten the period of treatment, avoiding adverse consequences. The limitation of the study lies in the fact that the database collected from the cephalometric x-ray of untreated patients with class II malocclusion which is a two dimensional view instead of using a digital computerized tomography scan(3D ) view so that the dimensions can be measured in a 3 axis of lines. It has been observed that a lot of stress being seen in the University teachers that hinders in their academic performance. The research article factors discusses responsible for creating stress in teachers of public sector universities of Rawalpindi. The objectives of the study were to identify the factors responsible of stress in teachers of public sector universities. The research design for the study was descriptive survey. Research was conducted on a random sample of 70 (40 male and 30 female) teachers. The observed factors were mainly due to the lack of time for relaxation, institutional politics, and freedom to ask for any sort of help when needed from superiors, heavy workload, extra duties, job security and family issues. The overall results regarding stress level revealed that a high percentage of teachers were falling at very low level and moderate stress categories. The democratic environment, reasonable workload, Provision of job security for the employees, consultative leadership and proper guidance and counselling arrangements were recommended in this study. In the light of the drawn conclusions, the following recommendations were suggested: The administration should learn, communicate and apply stress management techniques to each and every member of the organization or institute. A cooperative democratic organizational culture should be developed in the entire organization. Job security and career development opportunities for the employees should be made certain within the institute. Sufficient salary packages and reasonable incentives should be granted to the employees in accordance with their performances. Academic staff should be kept away from the additional administrative assignments. Proper liaison and coordination should be developed among: Faculty members, Administration and faculty, Junior and senior faculty members.

Saif Hameed and Zeeshan Fatima receive Robert Koch Research Award-2015 in Tuberculosis. The research findings were published on world's prestigious most read journal: The Journal of Chest Disease and Tuberculosis. One-third of the world's population is thought to have been infected with M. tuberculosis, with new infections occurring in about 1% of the population each year. In 2007, an estimated 13.7 million chronic cases were active globally, while in 2013, an estimated 9 million new cases occurred. In 2013 there was between 1.3 and 1.5 million associated deaths, most of which occurred indeveloping countries. The total number of tuberculosis cases has been decreasing since 2006, and new cases have decreased since 2002. The rate of tuberculosis in different areas varies across the globe; about 80% of the population in many Asian and African countries tests positive in tuberculin tests, while only 5–10% of the United States population tests positive. More people in the developing world contract tuberculosis because of a poor immune system, largely due to high rates of HIV infection and the corresponding development of AIDS. Tuberculosis (TB) is among the leading causes of mortality throughout the world. Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB) is the causative agent of TB, infecting more than 1/3 of the world's human population. MTB has adopted numerous features which contribute to its survival within the hostile environment. MTB has unique cell wall with high lipid content and displays a wide array of complex lipids and lipoglycans on its cell surface. Its cell wall is composed of 60% lipids, mainly mycolic acid (MA) which is responsible for low permeability of their cells to various antibiotics rendering drug resistance as well as the characteristic differential acid fast staining. Mycobacterial lipids which play an imperative role during the infection of MTB have been known to be involved in its pathogenicity. Certainly, closer view is required to further elucidate the role of lipids and many other lipid derivatives in establishment of MTB infection. Taken together, this review focuses on the significance of lipid molecule in MTB far from being just a building block of cell membrane and an energy reservoir to meet the energy expenses of the cell. TB remains one of the leading causes of death worldwide. 11 new grants from Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation will speed development of TB vaccines, diagnostic tests, and drugs in support of the Global Plan to Stop TB . Their research findings were published on world's prestigious most read journal: The Journal of Chemical Science. The occurrence, levels and sources of organochlorine pesticides (OCPs) and indicator polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) in the Weija Lake are presented and levels revealed varying concentrations in the water and the sediments. Liquid-liquid extraction with hexane was used for the extraction of the compounds from the water samples while sediment samples were sonicated on ultrasonic bath with hexane/acetone (3:1) solvent system. The extracts were then cleaned up with florisil and quantified on a micro-capillary gas chromatography equipped with electron capture detector. In all, five indicator PCB congeners namely, PCB # 28, 52, 101, 138, 180 and fifteen OCPs, α-HCH, β-HCH, γ-HCH, δ-HCH, γ-chlordane, aldrin, dieldrin, endrin, α-endosulfan, β-HCH, endosulfan sulfate, p,p’-DDT, p,p’-DDE, p,p’-DDD, and methoxychlor were detected. However, the levels of α-HCH, β-HCH, aldrin, dieldrin, γ-chlordane and PCB #118, 153 were below detection limit in the water compartment. In sediments, the mean concentration ranged from 0.15 µgkg -1 dry weight (α-HCH) to 7.08 µgkg -1 dry weight (PCB 52). PCB 28 was detected with the highest concentration of 2.50 µgL -1 in water samples. Data analysis by one way anova indicated significant differences in the levels of most of the organochlorines sampled from the various locations. Generally, the mean levels of the organochlorines in the Weija water and sediments were below quality guideline values. The results, based on one year monitoring, therefore suggest that organochlorine compounds investigated in the present study may not pose health hazard in the waters from Weija Lake. Even though the use of GC-ECD for determination of organochlorine pollutants is well established, the absence of applying other alternative proven techniques for confirmation of OCs identified in the samples could be a limitation. It is author’s recommendation that GC-MS or GC-MS-MS could have served the purpose in confirming the presence of the detected OCs in the samples. This study aims at comparing the level of motivation of the national and non-national karate players who have participated in the inter-university championship of Turkey. The sample of the study is formed by 100 sportlers who have participated in the interuniversity championship of Turkey in the year 2014. Sports-specific success motivation scale (SSSMS) developed by Willis (1982) and the personal information form have been used for the purpose of measuring the motivation for success. SPSS 20 packet program has been used for the analysis of the datawhile “Kolmogorov-Smirnov test and “Anova-Homogenity of variances” test have been performed for determining whether the data have a normal distribution and for determining the homogeinty respectively and it has been determined that the data had a homogenous and normal distribution. Descriptive statistics and independent sample t test have been performed for the analysis of the data and at the end of the study It has been determined that the national sportlers had a higjher motivation score than the non-national sportlers. Psychological support must be provided for the sportlers who have a low level of motivation. Extrinsic motivation of the sportlers must be increased through various rewards. Factors which has a negative impact on the intrinsic motivation of the sportlers must be determined and efforts must be shown to eliminate them.

Cardio respiratory fitness and body composition are associated with the risk of emergence of cardiovascular diseases but their interrelation to all cause and cardiovascular disease mortality is unknown. This study explored to the relationship between body composition and dimensions of VO2 max of non-obese college men. 40 unrelated normal healthy and sedentary non-obese male students randomly selected from Chaudhary Charan Singh P.G. College, Heonra, Etawah, Uttar Pradesh, India. Total body weight was determined by anthropometric. VO2 max was measured byusing Astrand-Astrand nomogram; fat mass and fat free mass were estimated by skin fold thickness. Pearson product moment correlation was used as a statistical test. Results reveal that there were significant correlation of VO2 max to total body weight and lean body weight of non-obese subjects. Whereas, insignificant correlation was found between fat percentage and VO2 max. It was concluded that the total body weight and lean body mass have a relation to VO2 max; fat percentage have no any relation to the VO2 max. Thus fatness and VO2 max should be independent factors. This study provides helps to physical education teachers and coaches the similar study may be undertaken with selecting subjects of different age group and women subjects. Non obese subject can have good aerobic power (VO2 max). Fatness and excess body weight do not necessarily imply a reduce ability to maximally oxygen consumption. Thus, fatness and VO2 max should be considered independent factors. There was no availability of sophisticated instrument for measuring VO2 max and body consumption variables accepted as a limitation for the study. It was recommended the present study may be repeated by selecting subjects of different age group. Similar study may be undertaken with women subjects. Similar study may be taken with national and international athletes. In this research, researcher and all the helper were well skilled and treated before going to conduct this study. Research was conducted in gymnasium of Chaudhay Charan Singh P.G. College, Heonra (Saifai), Etawah, Uttar Pradesh, India. The purpose of the study was to compare the selected kinematics variables of the technique of male and female sprinters. The age of the subjects was between 18-25 years. The videography technique was employed to register the sprinters technique. A motor driven, Nikon Model EM Camera was used. The subjects were photographed at 40-55 meters marks in sagittal plane. The filming Zone was 15 meters in width only moment take-off was analyzed. From the photographs, the stick figures were prepared by using joint point method and various kinematics variables were obtained. Segmentation methods were employed in order to assess the center of gravity of the body during the moment of take-off. The data were analyzed by ‘t’ test to as certain the comparison of male and female sprinters. The results have shown the insignificant values of ‘t’ ratio for all the selected kinematics variables of the study at the significance level of 0.05. With the limitations and findings of the study the following conclusions may be drawn: None of the Kinematic variables such as Angles at ankle joint, Angle at knee joint of supporting leg and Angles at ankle joint, Knee joint of swinging leg, Trunk Inclination, Height of the Center of gravity at moment of take-off, Take –off distance and Stride length were not significantly different in case of technique of male and female sprinters. Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics inspired this perfectly.
