Amit Pandey has done Graduation in Botany (H) from Delhi University and Post-Graduation in Biodiversity and Conservation from Indraprastha University, Amit Pandey started his career as a conservationist, working on Traditional Health Care practices and Sustainability during his internship and dissertation in masters, he acquired an indelible affection for research that led him join Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH) Lodhi Estate, New Delhi as a research associate, where he worked on documentation of culture and biodiversity in Uttarakhand region of India. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D in Reproductive Biology of Gymnosperms from Indraprastha University, New Delhi, India. His Research Interests is Taxonomy, Ethno-Botany and Reproductive Biology.

(1998-2000) National Eligibility Test in Forestry & Environmental Studies and Economics and Agribusiness Management. Asst. Professor in Dept. of Forestry at HNB Garhwal Central University, Srinagar (Garhwal) Uttarakhand, India from 2007-2009. Honoured with Brandis Award for Research Article in the field of Silviculture in Journal The Indian Forester in year 2005 Research contribution to documentation of indigenous knowledge, natural resource management, medicinal plants conservation, valuation of ecosystem services. Associated with United Nations Development Program-India, European Union, National Medicinal Plants Board, New Delhi etc. Coordinated 04 Applied Research Projects of UNDP, ECCP, NMPB etc. Authored 20 research articles, book chapters in various peer reviewed national journals. Participated in 20 International and National Conferences and Workshops. Presently working as Asst. Development Officer at State Medicinal Plants Board, Uttarakhand, India.
