Usha Yadav did her Masters in Botany with specialization in Plant Pathology in the year 1983. She did her Ph.D from Laboratory of Morphogenesis, Centre of Excellence in Botany, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi in the year 1985-1990 on the topic “In vitro morphogenetic responses of some tropical trees”. she Worked as Junior Research Fellow in the project entitled “Clonal Propagation of Tropical Trees through Tissue Culture” sponsored by University Grants Commission, New Delhi. She Conducted researches on micropropagation of Black Mulberry (Morus nigra L.), Black Plum (Syzygium cuminii L.) and Kadamba (Anthocephalus cadamba L.). Later worked on project “Somatic Embryogeny of Tropical Trees in vitro.” As Research Associateship directly awarded By the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, New Delhi, India and published her research studies in the journal of national and international repute. Now she is working as Associate Professor in the Department of Botany, Government Post Graduate College affiliated with Kumaun University, Nainital India. Along with Tissue Culture researches she did some work in the area of Ethno botany by tribal people and published a book entitled “Traditional Herbal Remedies among the Tharu Tribe of Khatima, Uttarakhand.” She is also working on pathological Studies of seed borne diseases associated with some valuable/important plants and their control.

ABC News Reports Crossbench still against higher education bills despite backdown
A Federal Government move to sideline a $1.9 billion budget cut to higher education courses and push ahead with fee deregulation has failed to sway the Senate crossbench. The measures — fee deregulation and the funding cut — were at the heart of the Coalition's university overhaul, which seemed doomed to fail for a second time in the Senate and have now been split into two separate pieces of legislation. The original bill faced heavy opposition, with only one crossbench senator out of eight publicly prepared to back it — far short of the six votes required. 'Greedy' pair Lukas Kamay, Christopher Hill jailed over $7 million ABS insider trading scam
Former NAB banker Lukas Kamay and former Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) analyst Christopher Hill have been sentenced to jail over a $7 million insider trading scheme. Kamay was sentenced to seven years and three months in prison with a minimum term of four and a half years. Hill was jailed for three years and three months with a minimum term of two years. Supreme Court Justice Elizabeth Hollingworth described the case as "the worst instance of insider trading to come before the courts in this country. She said Kamay and Hill "were motivated by personal greed, pure and simple" and said Kamay displayed some symptoms of "inflated self-esteem or narcissistic personality traits." Kamay pleaded guilty to money laundering, identity theft and insider trading. Co-offender Hill also pleaded guilty to insider trading and misuse of public office.

Facebook's new guidelines ban images of fully-exposed buttocks, and breasts
Facebook has categorized "fully exposed buttocks" and "images of female breasts if they include the nipple" under a list of banned posts in their revamped community standards section. Facebook said that the new guidelines were aimed at bringing "clarity" over what can and cannot be posted on the website, reported The Verge. The social media platform, added that some nudity was permissible "for artistic purposes." Facebook said that although some nudity may be there for a campaign or artistic purpose, some users in different parts of the world may be sensitive to this type of content. The social media giant added that the restrictions on the display of both nudity and sexual activity also applied to digitally created content unless the content is posted for educational, humorous or satirical purposes.
