Each chapter starts with chapter objective to help the understanding of readers, and to build a bridge between different paragraphs, section and analytical perspectives on agricultural Marketing and cooperatives. Throughout, the textbook has tried to ground its discussions in the realities of agriculture in Nigeria. The work experience of the Chapter authors of this book is a constant spur to keep written textbook that will work to re-awaken most of the half-baked school leavers that are admitted to NCE and Diploma programmes in our tertiary institutions. The books deals with Produce-Consumer Market; Markets where producers sell directly to the consumers. This is usually the cheapest source of purchase for consumers. Moreover, consumers may get their products fresh. 2) Local Assembly Market; Usually located near farms and are usually open spaces to where farmers bring their produce on accepted market days. 3) Retail Market; Consist of stalls in which all types of commodities are available for sale directly to consumers, they usually open daily or periodically throughout the year. The majority of traders in most developing countries are in this category. 4) Central Wholesale Market.
Chapters one and two were singly contributed by Dr. Olowa and they encompass agricultural marketing and agricultural cooperative. Chapter three and four are products of collaborated efforts.For chapter three, Adebosin and Adewale wrote on feasibility study, which is germane in starting any agro-marketing firm.Chapter four on agricultural policies was co-authored by Dr. Olowa and Dr. (Mrs) Olowa.Weensure uniformity on format of each chapter and the chapters as prepared are gathered together in this compendium. ABC News Reports Crossbench still against higher education bills despite backdown
A Federal Government move to sideline a $1.9 billion budget cut to higher education courses and push ahead with fee deregulation has failed to sway the Senate crossbench. The measures — fee deregulation and the funding cut — were at the heart of the Coalition's university overhaul, which seemed doomed to fail for a second time in the Senate and have now been split into two separate pieces of legislation. The original bill faced heavy opposition, with only one crossbench senator out of eight publicly prepared to back it — far short of the six votes required. 'Greedy' pair Lukas Kamay, Christopher Hill jailed over $7 million ABS insider trading scam
Former NAB banker Lukas Kamay and former Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) analyst Christopher Hill have been sentenced to jail over a $7 million insider trading scheme. Kamay was sentenced to seven years and three months in prison with a minimum term of four and a half years. Hill was jailed for three years and three months with a minimum term of two years. Supreme Court Justice Elizabeth Hollingworth described the case as "the worst instance of insider trading to come before the courts in this country. She said Kamay and Hill "were motivated by personal greed, pure and simple" and said Kamay displayed some symptoms of "inflated self-esteem or narcissistic personality traits." Kamay pleaded guilty to money laundering, identity theft and insider trading. Co-offender Hill also pleaded guilty to insider trading and misuse of public office.

Facebook's new guidelines ban images of fully-exposed buttocks, and breasts
Facebook has categorized "fully exposed buttocks" and "images of female breasts if they include the nipple" under a list of banned posts in their revamped community standards section. Facebook said that the new guidelines were aimed at bringing "clarity" over what can and cannot be posted on the website, reported The Verge. The social media platform, added that some nudity was permissible "for artistic purposes." Facebook said that although some nudity may be there for a campaign or artistic purpose, some users in different parts of the world may be sensitive to this type of content. The social media giant added that the restrictions on the display of both nudity and sexual activity also applied to digitally created content unless the content is posted for educational, humorous or satirical purposes. Explicit images of sexual intercourse and verbal descriptions of sexual acts are prohibited.
