In his report on Medicinal Plant Diversity of Sukinda Valley in Jajpur district of Odisha, India he mention that Sukinda valley is situated in the western part of Jajpur district of Odisha, India. This area is found to be a potent source of a variety of medicinal plants. An extensive field survey on floristic composition of the valley revealed that tribals and atribals of the area mostly depend on the native plants in their primary healthcare management. Studies on the ethnobotanical exploration of the area resulted in the documentation of 50 important ethno-medicinal plants belonging to 37 families that are employed for treating over 30 different types of human diseases and 18 animal diseases. Human ailments covered in this article include boils, bronchitis, cough, colic pain, conjunctivitis, diabetes, diarrhoea, dysentery etc., while animal ailments include blood dysentery, constipation, ectoparasites, enlargement of glands in throat, filariasis, flatulence, foot and mouth disease, galactorrhoea, indigestion, mastitis, mump, post-delivery clearance of uterus, throat infection, yoke-wound and swellings etc. Bronchitis, constipation, conjunctivitis, diarrhoea, dysentery (including blood dysentery), foot and mouth disease, mumps and respiratory diseases are prevalent in the area. Similar to other aspects of plant science research, folklore herbal medicine also offers enormous scope for further research; therefore, all the existing information needs to be correctly recorded, before it is lost. Under their leadership the research area is surely likely to expand beyond the horizons. It will be worthy to explore the further potential under their legacy. Kunja Bihari Satapathy as valuable intellectuals for the India offer exclusive opportunities for scholars around the world. The present study on the floristic composition with reference to the utilization of the medicinal plants by the tribes highlighted the pharmaceutically important and commercially potential medicinal plant species having demand in both wild and cultivated conditions. It is observed that the increasing demand for medicinal plants threats the forest/ natural resource management for sustainable utilization. Evidently, collection of medicinal plants from the wild habitats causes ecosystem imbalance and disappearance of sensitive plant species. Similarly, the practice of the traditional use of herbal resources is also losing its popularity very fast in view of not having a sustainable development policy for the promotion of traditional knowledge based programme. The present findings suggest for further studies on those potential and frequently used disease specific plant species which can show the pathway for the isolation of drug compounds. Efforts can be made for the popularization of cultivation of some potential ISM drug plants by the native inhabitants by adopting suitable agro-techniques which can also add to the conservation of biodiversity of the region and sustainable utilization of plant resources.

Some plants were recorded being vulnerable and threatened in their wild habitats for various reasons such as unorganized collection by the traditional practitioners, demand for trade, displacement for urbanization and mining activities etc.

A Federal Government move to sideline a $1.9 billion budget cut to higher education courses and push ahead with fee deregulation has failed to sway the Senate crossbench. The measures — fee deregulation and the funding cut — were at the heart of the Coalition's university overhaul, which seemed doomed to fail for a second time in the Senate and have now been split into two separate pieces of legislation. The original bill faced heavy opposition, with only one crossbench senator out of eight publicly prepared to back it — far short of the six votes required. 'Greedy' pair Lukas Kamay, Christopher Hill jailed over $7 million ABS insider trading scam
Former NAB banker Lukas Kamay and former Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) analyst Christopher Hill have been sentenced to jail over a $7 million insider trading scheme. Kamay was sentenced to seven years and three months in prison with a minimum term of four and a half years. Hill was jailed for three years and three months with a minimum term of two years. Supreme Court Justice Elizabeth Hollingworth described the case as "the worst instance of insider trading to come before the courts in this country. She said Kamay and Hill "were motivated by personal greed, pure and simple" and said Kamay displayed some symptoms of "inflated self-esteem or narcissistic personality traits." Kamay pleaded guilty to money laundering, identity theft and insider trading. Co-offender Hill also pleaded guilty to insider trading and misuse of public office.
