Meenakshi Vaidya from India made a historical victory over the international competition and won Carolus Linnaeus Research Award- 2015 in Taxonomy. In her report on Study of Leaf Architecure in Some Species of Genus Litsaea Lamk. of Family Lauraceae they mention that Lauraceae is commonly called as Laurel family which is of great economic importance for the aromatic oils that are responsible for the fragrance of many of its members the avocado (Persea americana). The present work deals with the leaf architecture studies in Genus Litsaea of family Lauraceae.The venation pattern observed in the studied species of Litsaea shows mainly Pinnatecamptodromous type of venation.Pattern of tertiary veins is percurrent & orthogonal reticulate. Under their leadership the research area is surely likely to expand beyond the horizons. It will be worthy to explore the further potential under their legacy. Meenakshi Vaidya as valuable intellectuals for the India offer exclusive opportunities for scholars around the world. The study is useful as there is very little anatomical work carried out Genus Litsaea of Lauraceae. As far as classical morphological characters fare concerned the genus poses a problem. The intrageneric classification of Litsaea is based mainly on leaves dioecious and leaves persistent. A large number of the species are so intimate by their leaf morphological characters; it is often difficult to determine their nomenclature types. ABC News Reports Crossbench still against higher education bills despite backdown
A Federal Government move to sideline a $1.9 billion budget cut to higher education courses and push ahead with fee deregulation has failed to sway the Senate crossbench. The measures — fee deregulation and the funding cut — were at the heart of the Coalition's university overhaul, which seemed doomed to fail for a second time in the Senate and have now been split into two separate pieces of legislation. The original bill faced heavy opposition, with only one crossbench senator out of eight publicly prepared to back it — far short of the six votes required. 'Greedy' pair Lukas Kamay, Christopher Hill jailed over $7 million ABS insider trading scam
Former NAB banker Lukas Kamay and former Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) analyst Christopher Hill have been sentenced to jail over a $7 million insider trading scheme. Kamay was sentenced to seven years and three months in prison with a minimum term of four and a half years. Hill was jailed for three years and three months with a minimum term of two years. Supreme Court Justice Elizabeth Hollingworth described the case as "the worst instance of insider trading to come before the courts in this country. She said Kamay and Hill "were motivated by personal greed, pure and simple" and said Kamay displayed some symptoms of "inflated self-esteem or narcissistic personality traits." Kamay pleaded guilty to money laundering, identity theft and insider trading. Co-offender Hill also pleaded guilty to insider trading and misuse of public office.

Facebook has categorized "fully exposed buttocks" and "images of female breasts if they include the nipple" under a list of banned posts in their revamped community standards section. Facebook said that the new guidelines were aimed at bringing "clarity" over what can and cannot be posted on the website, reported The Verge. The social media platform, added that some nudity was permissible "for artistic purposes." Facebook said that although some nudity may be there for a campaign or artistic purpose, some users in different parts of the world may be sensitive to this type of content. The social media giant added that the restrictions on the display of both nudity and sexual activity also applied to digitally created content unless the content is posted for educational, humorous or satirical purposes.
