Rev. J. E. T. Kuwornu-Adjaottor, given the rock star fame in Religious Studies, as declared among World’s 500 Most Influential Philosopher for Year 2015 on Earth. In a worldwide meritorious competition, Rev. J. E. T. Kuwornu-Adjaottor grabbed the world’s prestigious William Shakespeare Research Award-2015 in Religious Studies. Rev. Jonathan E.T. Kuwornu-Adjaottor holds BD and M.Th degrees from the Trinity Theological Seminary, Legon, Ghana, with a specialization in Biblical Studies – New Testament. He is a Senior Lecturer Head, Department of Religious Studies, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana. He is the Chairman for the Consortium of Researchers at the Centre for Cultural and African Studies, KNUST. His research interests are, Bible Translation Studies, African Biblical Studies, and Mother-Tongue Biblical Hermeneutics. He has presented papers in his research area at National and International Conferences. Kuwornu-Adjaottor is the current Chairman of the Ghana Zone of the West African Association of Theological Institutions (WAATI); Ghana Representative of the International Cooperative Initiative (ICI) of the Society of Biblical Literature (SBL); and a Fellow of the Centre for Mother-Tongue Biblical Hermeneutics, Trinity Theological Seminary, Legon. He is an Adjunct Lecturer at St. Gregory the Great Provincial Major Seminary, Parkoso-Kumasi; and External Examiner to the following institutions: Department of Biblical Studies, All Nations University College, Koforidua; School of Theology, Christ Apostolic University College, Kumasi; Department of Religion and Human Values, University of Cape Coast. He is the Moderator of the Theology programme at Heritage Christian College. He is a mentor of young lecturers of the Department of Theology, Christian Service University College, Kumasi. He is a member of the following Professional Associations: Ghana Association of Biblical Exegetes (GABES), Society of Biblical Scholars (SBS), Society of Biblical Literature (SBL), and New Testament Society of South Africa (NTSSA). He is on the Editorial Committees of Journal of African Biblical Studies and Journal of Applied Thought. He is a member of the Dangme Bible Committee; and of the team of Ghanaian Biblical scholars, Linguists and Systematic Theologians commissioned by the Bible Society of Ghana to write the Ecumenical Study Bible. Kuwornu-Adjaottor has a number of publications in his research areas to his credit. He has submitted his PhD thesis titled, Mother-Tongue Bibles in Ghana: Resources for African Biblical Studies to the School of Graduate Studies, KNUST, Kumasi. He won The Royal Bank – CASS Best Researcher Award for the 2012/2013 Academic Year at KNUST, Kumasi. Kuwornu-Adjaottor is included in “2000 Outstanding Intellectuals of the 21st Century,” International Biographical Centre, Cambridge, England; and cited in the International Directory of Distinguished Leadership, American Biographical Institute. His article, “A reading of hudõr zõn [living water] and its relationship with pistuõ [believe] in John 4:1-15 through the lens of some Ghanaian mother-tongue translations of the New Testament and a practice in Ghanaian traditional shrines,” published in The Journal of Humanities and Social Science, won the William Shakespeare Research Award-2015 in Religious Studies. J. E. T. Kuwornu-Adjaottor is recognized among the World’s 500 Most Influential Philosopher for the Year 2015 on Earth by the International Agency for Standards and Ratings (IASR). Kuwornu-Adjaottor has conducted research and published from the following books of the New Testament: Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts, Romans, 1 Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, 1 Thessalonians, 1 Timothy and 1 Peter. His research has generated new knowledge for New Testament scholars, Mother Tongue Biblical Hermeneutics scholars and Bible readers in Dangme Bible reading communities.He is an Ordained Minister of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana. ABC News Reports Crossbench still against higher education bills despite backdown
A Federal Government move to sideline a $1.9 billion budget cut to higher education courses and push ahead with fee deregulation has failed to sway the Senate crossbench. The measures — fee deregulation and the funding cut — were at the heart of the Coalition's university overhaul, which seemed doomed to fail for a second time in the Senate and have now been split into two separate pieces of legislation. The original bill faced heavy opposition, with only one crossbench senator out of eight publicly prepared to back it — far short of the six votes required. 'Greedy' pair Lukas Kamay, Christopher Hill jailed over $7 million ABS insider trading scam
Former NAB banker Lukas Kamay and former Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) analyst Christopher Hill have been sentenced to jail over a $7 million insider trading scheme. Kamay was sentenced to seven years and three months in prison with a minimum term of four and a half years. Hill was jailed for three years and three months with a minimum term of two years. Supreme Court Justice Elizabeth Hollingworth described the case as "the worst instance of insider trading to come before the courts in this country. She said Kamay and Hill "were motivated by personal greed, pure and simple" and said Kamay displayed some symptoms of "inflated self-esteem or narcissistic personality traits." Kamay pleaded guilty to money laundering, identity theft and insider trading. Co-offender Hill also pleaded guilty to insider trading and misuse of public office.

Facebook's new guidelines ban images of fully-exposed buttocks, and breasts
Facebook has categorized "fully exposed buttocks" and "images of female breasts if they include the nipple" under a list of banned posts in their revamped community standards section. Facebook said that the new guidelines were aimed at bringing "clarity" over what can and cannot be posted on the website, reported The Verge. The social media platform, added that some nudity was permissible "for artistic purposes." Facebook said that although some nudity may be there for a campaign or artistic purpose, some users in different parts of the world may be sensitive to this type of content. The social media giant added that the restrictions on the display of both nudity and sexual activity also applied to digitally created content unless the content is posted for educational, humorous or satirical purposes. Explicit images of sexual intercourse and verbal descriptions of sexual acts are prohibited.
