Dr. Davanaboyina Shouri Raju Naidu (MD, DMRT) has done MBBS in 1976 – 1982 from Guntur Medical College, Nagarjuna University, Andhra Pradesh, India. He earned DMRT in 1985-1987 From Madras University, Tamilnadu, India. He is M.D. in Radiotherapy (1985-1988) from Madras University, Tamilnadu, India. He is Professor & Head of Department of Radiotherapy, (RT), Guntur Medical College, & Govt. General Hospital, Guntur, India. Dr. Davanaboyina Shouri Raju Naidu is Vice Principal - Guntur Medical College, & Govt. General Hospital, Guntur, India. He is selected for 2009- Tummala Ramabramham, MD, Memorial GMCANA (Guntur Medical College Alumni of North America) Research Endowment Fund Award. Earlier he has been Senior Registrar – RT Dept. CMC-Hospital, Vellore, Tamil Nadu from April 1988-September 1988. Later He joined as Senior Resident – RT Dept. ZIPMER, Pondicherry, Tamil Nadu from September 1988 to June 1990. Then he served as Civil Assistant Surgeon – Govt. Hospital, Medhira – Khammam District, Andhra Pradesh, from June 1990 to June 1993. He joined as Assistant Professor at R.T. – Guntur Medical College, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, from June 1993 to January 2001. He was Associate Professor at R.T. Govt. Medical College, Ananthapur, Andhra Pradesh, from January 2001 to September 2001. He served as Associate Professor at R.T. Guntur Medical College, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, from September 2001 to September 2003. Then he served as Professor at R.T. Guntur Medical College & Govt. General Hospital, Guntur, from September 2003 to till date.
His areas of interests are Preventive Oncology and educating people regarding cancer awareness and early detection of cancer. In this connection he also conducted numerous camps from village level to Medical College and General Hospital levels.

ABC News Reports Crossbench still against higher education bills despite backdown
A Federal Government move to sideline a $1.9 billion budget cut to higher education courses and push ahead with fee deregulation has failed to sway the Senate crossbench. The measures — fee deregulation and the funding cut — were at the heart of the Coalition's university overhaul, which seemed doomed to fail for a second time in the Senate and have now been split into two separate pieces of legislation. The original bill faced heavy opposition, with only one crossbench senator out of eight publicly prepared to back it — far short of the six votes required. 'Greedy' pair Lukas Kamay, Christopher Hill jailed over $7 million ABS insider trading scam
Former NAB banker Lukas Kamay and former Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) analyst Christopher Hill have been sentenced to jail over a $7 million insider trading scheme. Kamay was sentenced to seven years and three months in prison with a minimum term of four and a half years. Hill was jailed for three years and three months with a minimum term of two years. Supreme Court Justice Elizabeth Hollingworth described the case as "the worst instance of insider trading to come before the courts in this country. She said Kamay and Hill "were motivated by personal greed, pure and simple" and said Kamay displayed some symptoms of "inflated self-esteem or narcissistic personality traits." Kamay pleaded guilty to money laundering, identity theft and insider trading. Co-offender Hill also pleaded guilty to insider trading and misuse of public office.

Facebook's new guidelines ban images of fully-exposed buttocks, and breasts
Facebook has categorized "fully exposed buttocks" and "images of female breasts if they include the nipple" under a list of banned posts in their revamped community standards section. Facebook said that the new guidelines were aimed at bringing "clarity" over what can and cannot be posted on the website, reported The Verge. The social media platform, added that some nudity was permissible "for artistic purposes." Facebook said that although some nudity may be there for a campaign or artistic purpose, some users in different parts of the world may be sensitive to this type of content. The social media giant added that the restrictions on the display of both nudity and sexual activity also applied to digitally created content unless the content is posted for educational, humorous or satirical purposes. Explicit images of sexual intercourse and verbal descriptions of sexual acts are prohibited.
