Viet Nam gears up for world's best tourism destination

Localities, especially those with prominent tourist sites, must raise public awareness of maintaining security and order and servicing tourists in a friendly way, according to a resolution recently issued by the Government.   The Government also gave the nod to funding for a national action plan on tourism and a national tourism promotion programme in 2015.   International visitors to Viet Nam in November estimated 608,617 arrivals, increase 8.9% over last month and down 16.7% over the same period last year. Total international arrivals in 11 months reached 7,217,008, increase 5.4% over the same period last year. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MoCST) was asked to work together with other ministries and sector in devising plans to draw foreign visitors from potential markets.   In coordination with the MoCST, the Ministry of Planning and Investment will work on all possible incentives for investments, especially those going to infrastructure and key national tourist areas as listed in the comprehensive master plan on tourism development until 2020, with a vision to 2030 and The Ministry of Finance is in charge of reviewing the investment law and other decrees, thereby making proposals to make possible changes in regulations on hotel and travel business.   At the same time, it will examine regulations on importing hi-end travel vehicles such as hydrofoils, cruise vessels, seaplanes and balloons, and report to the Government before June 30, 2015. International Journal of Business Management welcomed the Viet Nam's move and revealed that tourism is going to be big business in year 2015 if world peace is maintained.  Regulations on land allocation and taxes on land use will also be adjusted in a way that eases financial burden on accommodation and tourist facilities. The One Pillar Pagoda is often mentioned to be one of Hanoi's most beautiful pagodas. Hanoi, is a major city in Vietnam has many interesting tourist attractions to visit. temple, museum, pagoda are best attractions at Ho Chi Minh City. According to statistics of Indian Tourism Ministry, in 2012 the number of Indian outbound tourists accounted for 1.2% of the population. Indian visitors love shopping, outdoor activities, visiting museums and war relics, and discovering new destinations. Besides, security, safety and food also affect the decision of Indian visitors to choose destination. In 11 months of 2014, Viet Nam welcomed approximately 50,000 Indian arrivals which was very few compared with Indian tourists traveling abroad. The main reasons were inconvenience of visa procedure and aviation connectivity between Viet Nam and India.
