Cuba and The Bahamas Sign new Educational Agreement

The ministries of Education of Cuba and The Bahamas signed a Memorandum of Understanding (2014-2019) aiming to strengthen and increase the bilateral cooperation in this area. This cooperation is already felt im Bahamas through Cuban Education Brigade "Felix Varela" whose work has extended through 11 years. The Cuban part was represented by Ambassador Ernesto Soberón Guzmán. Honorable Jerome Fitzgerald, Minister of Education, Science and Technology of The Bahamas attended the signature as well. Both parts ratified the interest from the two governments to continue developing and strengthening the bilateral cooperation in education as it is demonstrated by the presence in The BAhamas of 37 Cuban collaborators, as well as the scholarships to study Medical Sciences in Cuba.
