Rafiul Islam Tanziman Ara from Bangladesh published attractive Book on rich biodiversity of Bangladesh. The eBook was published by prestigious Photon eBooks. It gives momentum to Bangladeshi Hotel and Tourism industries. A large FDI is about to inflow in Bangladesh. Bangladesh, located in the humid tropical region is rich in species diversity and is unique in the diversity of genetic resources compared to its land area. Bangladesh is located between latitudes 20°34' to 26°38' north and longitudes 88°01' to 92°41' east. The country consists mostly of flood plains (80%) with some hilly areas (12%), with a sub-tropical monsoon climate. In winter, temperature ranges from a minimum of 70 to 13°C to a maximum of 230 to 32°C. In summer, the temperature varies from 36°C to 41°C. The mean annual rainfall ranges from 143 to 434 cm. The population stood at 131.6 million in 2001. Bangladesh has a total area of 14.39 million hectares, of which 9.12 million ha is cultivated, 2.14 million ha public forests, 0.27 million ha village groves, and 1.64 million ha constantly under water. The remaining land area (1.22 million hectares) is occupied by tea gardens, uncultivable areas, rural and urban houses and ponds. The area covered by government and village forests is about 16% of the total land area; however only 0.93 million ha (6.5%) is under tree cover, which is about 40% of the forests controlled by the government. The remaining 60% includes denuded lands (grassland, scrubland and encroached areas). About 24 000 ha of forest is lost annually as a result of homestead development, urbanization and deforestation. Leaf vegetables, also called potherbs, greens, vegetable greens, leafy greens or salad greens, are plant leaves eaten as a vegetable, sometimes accompanied by tender petioles and shoots. Although they come from a very wide variety of plants, most share a great deal with other leaf vegetables in nutrition and cooking methods. Nearly one thousand species of plants with edible leaves are known. Leaf vegetables most often come from short-lived herbaceous plants such as lettuce and spinach. Woody plants whose leaves can be eaten as leaf vegetables include Adansonia, Aralia, Moringa, Morus, and Toona species. The leaves of many fodder crops are also edible by humans, but usually only eaten under famine conditions.

ABC News Reports Crossbench still against higher education bills despite backdown

A Federal Government move to sideline a $1.9 billion budget cut to higher education courses and push ahead with fee deregulation has failed to sway the Senate crossbench. The measures — fee deregulation and the funding cut — were at the heart of the Coalition's university overhaul, which seemed doomed to fail for a second time in the Senate and have now been split into two separate pieces of legislation. The original bill faced heavy opposition, with only one crossbench senator out of eight publicly prepared to back it — far short of the six votes required. But hiving off the budget cut to a separate vote has not won over the vote — with at least five crossbench senators telling the ABC they will not vote for the core deregulation legislation.

Stephen King Freaks Out Over Crimson Peak

The King of Horror has opened up on one of the most anticipated films of the year, and his high praise has only given us more to look forward to. When you're a world renowned horror author with an incredible cult-following, your opinions matter. So when Guillermo del Toro gave Stephen King a first look at his upcoming film, Crimson Peak the author’s reaction was sure to put some weight on how the film was received. And from the King’s response, it looks like we’re in for a real treat with this horrifying flick. And King didn’t stop there either. Just the phrase ‘fucking terrifying’ would be welcomed praise from the best-selling author. But, the film touched King so much so that he went on to add an even bigger compliment. Damn. If I wasn’t already excited to see Tom Hiddleston take on the villainous gentleman role of Thomas Sharpe, I certainly am now. Stephen King’s kind words towards the film are some of the first reactions we’ve heard, since del Toro is still putting some finishing touches on his product for its Fall release this year. But, King’s compliments were also met by his son and another accomplished author, Joe Hill who claimed Crimson Peak to be the most beautiful horror film of them all.

'Greedy' pair Lukas Kamay, Christopher Hill jailed over $7 million ABS insider trading scam

Former NAB banker Lukas Kamay and former Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) analyst Christopher Hill have been sentenced to jail over a $7 million insider trading scheme. Kamay was sentenced to seven years and three months in prison with a minimum term of four and a half years. Hill was jailed for three years and three months with a minimum term of two years. Supreme Court Justice Elizabeth Hollingworth described the case as "the worst instance of insider trading to come before the courts in this country. She said Kamay and Hill "were motivated by personal greed, pure and simple" and said Kamay displayed some symptoms of "inflated self-esteem or narcissistic personality traits." Kamay pleaded guilty to money laundering, identity theft and insider trading. Co-offender Hill also pleaded guilty to insider trading and misuse of public office.
